Our Offer

The Primary Care Center Östergötland consists of 33 region-operated health centers, Health Center Finspång, Child Health Care Unit, 1177 and emergency centers evenings and weekends, and General Medicine Training Center.

We conduct a broad primary care operation where we offer care to everyone throughout life; newborns, children, adolescents, adults, the elderly, and patients at the end of life.

The health centers Marieberg and Vadstena have been a joint operational area since April 2025, with over 15,000 registered patients and are centrally located in the towns of Vadstena and Marieberg. The operations have a positive forward momentum, good collaborations within the operational area, and between the various professional groups. Good quality, collaboration, and close care are the guiding principles for the operation.

Regarding mental health issues, the goal is to work together to increase patients' functional levels and quality of life as well as enhance patients' ability to manage their problems. We also work to increase preventive efforts and avoid medicalization. As a conversation therapist/counselor, you play an important role in achieving optimal treatment for patients, either individually or together with the team and the responsible physician.

We work to tailor your introduction according to your needs, you have the opportunity for supervision, and there is an active counseling network in the region that you will be part of. Job Description

These are two part-time temporary positions due to leave of absence and sick leave, 80%/80%, where placement will be at both VC Marieberg and VC Vadstena.

The work consists of regular conversation therapist assignments and work as a rehabilitation coordinator. We prefer that you are interested in working in a team as well as independently. You enjoy working both with groups and providing individual support. The area of work is first-line psychiatry and behavioral medical issues. You will have your own clinic, assess incoming cases together with others in the team, and be responsible for our I-CBT. As a rehabilitation coordinator, you are a key person in the health center's work to identify patients early who need coordinated measures to facilitate their return to work. You will have a varied job in close collaboration with all professions at the health center, where you will support the patient, maintain contact with employers, the insurance office, social services, the employment agency, and others, with the aim of finding a safe path through the sick leave and rehabilitation process.

Work Group

A team around mental health exists, operating across the entire operational area. The team includes both conversation therapists, psychologists, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation coordinators. The team distributes work at both group and individual levels regarding conversations, I-CBT online, groups, and more.

About You

You are a trained health and medical care counselor, have a degree in social work, or have another equivalent education. It is an advantage if you have knowledge and interest in interventions adapted to the primary care assignment. It is also an advantage if you have experience working in a health center or have an understanding of primary care.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities, being reflective, listening, and flexible, as well as having a strong ability to collaborate. You are unpretentious and willing to think innovatively regarding roles. You are also active and proactive and find it easy to create and maintain relationships. You can also plan, organize, and prioritize your work. You have good judgment and communicate clearly. You contribute to a good collaborative climate and are clear in your boundary-setting regarding roles and assignments within the team. You have good structure in your work and are flexible.

These positions are temporary with a start date as soon as possible and lasting until June 30, 2026. A driver's license is required as placement and transfer between health centers may be necessary.
